What is licensing?
Art licensing means you can “rent” my artwork to use on the products you sell. A license gives you permission to use a specific design for an agreed-upon time period. Licenses can be non-exclusive or exclusive.
Non-exclusive licensing
A non-exclusive license allows you to use one of my designs on your products while I continue to license that same design to other companies. The artwork may also remain available on platforms such as Spoonflower.
I always retain full copyright and ownership of the design.
Exclusive license
An exclusive license gives you exclusive use of a design within your agreed industry and territory. The exact terms (category, territory, duration) are negotiated together.
For example:
If your license covers children’s clothing in the US, I may still license the same design for children’s clothing in Europe (different territory) or for wallpaper or stationery in the US (different product category).

I retain the design’s copyright.
At the end of the agreed time period, you may renew the license. If you choose not to, all rights automatically return to me.
